PURPOSE: To obtain a Cu alloy having considerably enhanced electric conductivity while maintaining the heat resistance by adding a specified percentage each of Sn, Y and O to Cu.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy consisting of, by weight, 0.02W0.5% Sn, 0.1W0.8% Y, ≤0.015% O and the balance Cu is prepared. This alloy is equal to a Cu-Sn alloy in corrosion resistance, and by adding Y, the acid resistance is enhanced.
