Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a positively chargeable org. photoconductor by using water, alcohol or the like which does not dissolve a charge transferring layer as a solvent for a charge generating layer when the charge transferring layer is coated with the charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:An Al cylinder is prepared as a substrate and undercoated with casein in 2mum thickness. A mixture consisting of 1 part charge transferring substance represented by formulaI, 1 part polycarbonate resin and 10 parts monochlorobenzene is then applied to the substrate by a dipping method in 12mum thickness and dried to form a charge transferring layer. A mixture consisting of 1 part bisazo pigment represented by formula II as a charge generating substance, 2 parts polyvinyl butyral resin and 20 parts methanol is well dispersed with a sand mill, and the dispersion is applied to the charge transferring layer by a dipping method in 0.2mum thickness and dried to form a charge generating layer. Thus, a positively chargeable org. receptor can be obtd.
