Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the solar heat adsorbing efficiency and the durability of the title solar heat adsorbing member by a method wherein a selective heat adsorbing film consisting of the first and the second copper oxide layers are formed on the surface of a base material (of which the solar heat adsorbing member is built) in such a manner that the overall thickness of the film and the thickness of the first copper oxide layer fall within specified ranges, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The selective heat adsorbing film consisting of the first and second copper oxide layers are formed on the surface of the base material to thereby constitute the solar heat adsorbing member. In this case, the overall thickness of the selective heat adsorbing film and the thickness of the first copper oxide layer are determined such that the former falls within the range between 0.15-0.50mu. Further, the base material forming the solar heat adsorbing member is made of a thermally and chemically stabilized metal such as stainless steel in view of its durability and the selective heat adsorbing film is formed on the surface of the base material in such a manner that a thin film of copper or a copper alloy is first formed on the surface of the base material and the thin film thus formed is oxidized. In addition, the formation of the thin film is made by use of a plating method and the formation of the selective heat adsorbing film is made by use of an oxidation treatment method such as the dipping of the base material in an alkaline solution as an oxidizing agent.
