Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a silver-zine oxide affiliated high performance electric contact material excellent in applicability with a high resistance to deposition and insulation through internal oxidation of alloy containing one or more kinds of Zn, Pb and T1 and Sb.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy containing 5 to 15% by weight of Zn and 0.001 to 2% at least one kind of Pb and T1 and 0.001 to 2% of Sb and additionally, 2% or less of ferrous element as required in silver undergoes internal oxidation. In this manner, a silver-zinc oxide affiliated electric contact material with an excellent contact resistance can be produced along with a high resistance to deposition and insulation.
