Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform a highly accurate combustion control without using the commercial 100V power source and by using a high electromotive type thermopile as a control circuit power source, a rechargeable secondary battery, a proportional control valve and a gas stop valve driven by a small amount of electrical power. CONSTITUTION:The hot water boiler is so constructed that a gas supplied through a main cock 1 is divided into two parts of which one part flows into an iginition burner 5 and the other part flows into a main burner 4 through the proportional control valve 3a and water in a heat exchanger 6 is heated by the main burner to produce hot water. In this case, the thermopile 20 comprising a plurality of thermocouples connected in series is provided adjacent to the ignition burner 5. Further, electromotive power generated in the thermopile 20 is charged in a charge circuit 21 including the rechargeable secondary battery 22, an overcharge preventive circuit 23 for preventing the overcharging of the battery and a reverse flow preventive device 24 for preventing a discharge to the thermopile 20. Thus, the gas stop valve 2a and the proportional control valve 3a are controled through a control circuit 8 as usual by use of the charging power of the charge circuit 21.
