Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible combustion control of a burner without an external electric power source by a method wherein thermal electromotive force generated by a thermoelectric device is converted into displacements of a strong dielectric electrostriction element to control a fuel control valve. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is not applied, the bimorph cell 14 of a control valve 3 does not bend and the valve body 13 is detached from the valve seat 12. Accordingly, gas flows from an inlet 10 to an outlet 11, reaches a burner 5 and can ignite. The thermoelectric element of the thermoelectric device 9 is heated by flames of the burner 5 and generates thermoelectromotive force. When the temperature of a pot bottom rises and reaches a desired one, a temperature switch 7 is turned on, the thermoelectromotive force is applied to the bimorph cell 14, bends it 14, shuts the valve 3 and prevents gas from running. In this case, the burner 5 burns at the least quantity of combustion through a bypath 6.
