Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve accurate channel selection when search intervals are 1kHz steps, by providing a channel selection device on a PLL frequency synthesizer system with a beat component detecting means consisting of narrow-band BPFs. CONSTITUTION:A local oscillation signal generator 3 controlled by an automatic channel selection control circuit 7 outputs a local oscillation signal f in every 1kHz step. This is mixed with a received signal fr to obtain an IF signal fc, which is inputted to a search stop signal generator 16 via a rectifier 17. Simultaneously, the IF signal fc and a prescribed IF signal fio are mixed together to generate beat components, which are inputted to the signal generator 16 via a beat component detecting means consisting of narrow-band BPFs 10-12. Then, the generator 16, when the IF signal fc is present and the beat components do not arrive, outputs a search stop signal to the control part 7. Thus, accurate channel-selecting operation is carried out.
