Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of a receiver, by setting an automatic sweep when a button which indicates up or down sweep is depressed continuously and by setting a step sweep when this button is depressed only once. CONSTITUTION:Up and down push buttons are provided in a receiver. When this push button is depressed only once, the receiving frequency is increased or decreased by one step. When the button is depressed continuously over a time T0, this depression is detected by a micorprocessor, and the microprocessor controls the receiver so that the receiver sweeps automatically the frequency by every one step. After that, the microprocessor inspects whether the button is depressed continuously; and if it is depressed contrinuously, the automatic sweep is continued still. If the button is not depressed, the automatic sweep is continued only for the period till the broadcasting waves are received.
