Abstract

PURPOSE:To select the channel automatically for a music broadcast, by stopping the automatic searching function after detecting a music or stereo broadcast out of the output of wave detection by means of a filter or the like. CONSTITUTION:The output siganl of the wave detection circuit 3 is supplied to the filter 22 at the voice discrimination part 21, and the input signal is judged as a music broadcast in case no voice component is contained in the output signal at the 1st signal process circuit 23. Then a high-level signal is held at the holding circuit 24. At the same time, if a stereo broadcast is detected through the stereo signal discrimination part 26, a high-level signal is delivered to the output 28. Furthermore a high-level signal is delivered to the output 20 when a tuning of the signal is detected by the generating means 13 of the automatic searching function stop signal. The AND conditions are secured for these output signals through the AND circuits 30 and 31 at the signal process part 29. With this output the signal is sent to the channel selection control part 6 to stop the automatic searching function.
