Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform high efficiency operation control of a water lift power station by making selection of the equipment to be run with mininum loss and direction for the load distribution through the calculation of the pen stock loss based on the command from the control station. CONSTITUTION:A processor 4 calculates the maximum number to be operated when the number of running unit and water level difference become known, the datas such as the pen stock loss and the flow rate-head characteristic curve of the pump water wheel being stored in said processor 4 previously. A command is given to each pump water wheel and guide vane operating part 6-1-6-4 based on the calculation of the pen stock loss and the number of equipment to be run, and at the same time giving the instruction for the proper opening of the guide vane to obtain maximum efficiency thereby enabling high efficiency operation of the water lift power station.
