Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance a cooling efficiency by connecting multiple lines of an electrolyte cooling system in parallel. CONSTITUTION:During the start-up period of an induction motor, a valve 10 in a cooling water line is kept opened to flow cooling water in cooling water lines 8 and 9. Moreover, both pumps 4 and 5 are oprated to offer the maximum cooling capacity. Then, after the speed of the induction motor has fully increased and reached a speed controllable region, the calorific value decreases, so that, stopping a pump 4 and the cooling water line 8 by shutting off ahe valve 10, the cooling operation is only made with the cooling water line 9 and an electrolyte cooler 3 operated. The number of cooling lines can be freely selected according to the ratio of the cooling capacity required at start-up of the system against the cooling capacity required during a controlled operation.
