Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the efficiency of electric generation by actuating a speed control unit in proportion to various hydraulic pressures and by controlling the speed of rotation for hydroelectric power unit so that the water pressure at the outlet side may be maintained approximately constant.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure detector 18 is installed in a hydraulic line 7. The output from the pressure detector 18 is loaded into a speed control unit 26. A frequency converter 14 is controlled in proportion to the output from the pressure detector 18. The speed of rotation of a hydroelectric power unit is controlled so that the hydraulic pressure of the hydroelectric power unit may be maintained constant at the outlet side. This construction allows the hydroelectric power unit 11 to operate under control at the most efficient speed of rotation, even when a differential pressure is produced in a hydraulic line 6, thereby generating electric power with a high efficiency, maintaining almost a constant hydraulic pressure to a consuming area 5.
