Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid excessive consumption of power by operating the variable speed pump by constant pressure control within the range of setting time, and at the outside of the range, by operating said pump together with the pressure tank by the constant speed pump.
CONSTITUTION: The signals from the flow rate detector 6 and the pressure switch 8 are interlocked within the setting time band (ex. 5:00W23:00), and the pressure in the feeding pipe 5 is detected by the pressure detector, and the pressure signal from said detector is sent to the controlling device 10 to control the operation of the pump at the constant pressure as the variable pump. When it is outside the time range, the signals from the pressure detector 7 are interlocked, and the control device 10 drives the pump 1 at the constant speed, and at the same time, the pump 1 is stopped or started corresponding to the signals from the flow rate detector 7 and the pressure switch 8. By doing so, within the time band such as night when the amount of water is small, the pressure of feeding pipe is maintained by the pressure tank 9 to stop the pump 1, so that the excessive power consumption can be avoided.
