Abstract

PURPOSE:To economize fuel by closing a passing port of fuel at deceleration to reduce a pressure of oil fed to a float chamber and thereby controlling a quantity of gas spouted from an idling. CONSTITUTION:A hose joint 12, an opening 1' of an equipment 1 and an opening 2' are connected to a fuel pump 19, a carburetor and an intake pipe, respectively. At deceleration, a negative pressure is produced in the opening 2' to pull a diaphragm 3 until a washer 5 contacts a cover 2, compressing a spring 16 to move a valve head 7' left. Resultantly, a valve port 12'' is closed to check passing of fuel. This checking condition is not perfect and achieved as much as a fuel matched to a revolution of an engine may be barely supplied. As mentioned above, passing of fuel is limited at deceleration for freeing of excessive supply and a water hammer is blocked at the valve port, thereby eliminating squeezing of fuel into a carburetor.
