Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the fuel injection ratio by electromagnetically control the valve closing pressure of a fuel injection. CONSTITUTION:Signal relating to the engine rotational speed, the position of acceleration pedal, the negative pressure of a suction pipe, the temperature of the engine or the ambient temperature thereof and the like, are supplied to an operation circuit, wherein operations based on these input signals are performed thereby to control the position of the sleeve 216 of a fuel injection pump 2 and the valve closing pressure of a needle of a fuel injection pump 3. In conclusion, when, by a drive signal from the operation circuit, the relative position between the sleeve 216 and the plunger 213 is varied, to control the escaping quantity of the fuel in a plunger pump 210, and at the same time, by supplying a current to a drive coil 34, an electromagnetic force is acted on a direction of assisting a force to close a needle 31 due to a spring 33, while the valve closing pressure of the injection valve 3 is increased during this time, and the fuel injection ratio can be varied.
