Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the flatness of discharge voltage of a non-aqueous electrolyte battery by coating the surface of a positive electrode mold with a salt which contains same metal as contained in the negative active material, where the non-aqueous electrolyte battery utilizes manganese dioxide as positive active material. CONSTITUTION:Manganese dioxide, fluororesin, and graphite are mixed to prepare positive active material, and it is press-molded to form a battery positive mold. The entire surface of the mold is coated with LiC104 salt by such a way that the positive mold is soaked in a propylenecarbonate solution which dissolved LiC104 which contains Li used for the negative active matrial. For example, 2 to 15 mg of LiC104 is coated on the negative mold of 235 mg. Thus, the flatness of discharge voltage of the non-aqueous electrolyte battery especially the voltage fluctuation at initial period of discharge can be improved.
