Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the fine amount of components, by attaching a light detecting device in the vicinity of the end of the effluent side of a column, and performing the measurement under the state where most of sample components are held by a filler. CONSTITUTION:At the time when the sample is flowed in the column 1, the sample has a form of a single zone. As the column 1 moves, the sample is saparated into a zone of a component A and a zone of a component B. When the zone of the component A reaches the end part of the effluent side and the zone of the component B is still on the half way in the column 1, ultraviolet light is irradiated from an irradiating fiber 8, and the scattered light is detected by a light measuring fiber 9. Then the component A of the sample is measured. When the zone of the component B reaches the end part of the effluent side, the component B of the sample can be measured. Since the measurement is performed under the state where the sample component is supported by the filler, the concentration is not decreased because of the dilution by solvent, and even the very fine amount of the sample can be detected.
