Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the inter-detector error and thus to increase the analysis accuracy by detecting through one detector the sample before and after passing through the fixed enzyme column and then comparing these value in case a reaction is given between the substrate and the enzyme via the fixed enzyme column and then the variation is detected via the measurement electrode. CONSTITUTION:The buffer solution within tank 1 is supplied to fixed enzyme column 8 via flowpath switch valve 10, enzyme electrode 5 and flowpath switch valve 11, and then exhausted through outlet A via flowpath switch valve 13 and 12. While the buffer solution sent via pump 3 is exhausted through outlet B via valve 11, 12, 10 and 13. Electrode 5 to be used as the detector is connected to recorder 7. The substrate content sample liquid, such as the blood serum, urine, etc., is measured for its dissolved oxygen amount before being put into column 8.
