Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the detection of coagulation end point easy by arranging a light source in a vertical direction with a sample tube and providing two signal light paths such as a reference light side and sample light side. CONSTITUTION:The quantity of light of a ray 6 projected from a light source 3 arranged in a vertical direction with a sample tube 1, is adjusted by means of a diffusion board 4 and a slit 5. Then it is projected into a detector on the reference side 8 where it is photoelectrically converted and thus an output signal on the reference side is obtained. In addition, another ray 6 which is projected from the light source 3 is scattered by means of the diffusion board 4 so that a sample 2 may be better scattered. Following this process, the ray is adjusted by means of the slit 5 in terms of intensity and then is irradiated onto the sample tube 1. A scattered light 7 scattered by the sample 2 is introduced into a detector on the sample side 9 arranged at a position other than positions irradiated by the penetrated light of the ray 6 through the intermediary of the diffusion board 4 and the slit 5. After this step, the scattered light is photoelectrically converted by the detector on the sample side 9 to obtain an output signal on the sample side.
