Abstract

CONSTITUTION: In an electrolyte containing chromic acid as a main component and silicon fluoride added thereto within an electrolyte tank, a pretreated object to be plated is immersed and, while the electrolyte is flowed, said object to be plated as a cathode and the electrolyte tank as an anode to supply current. In this case, a distance between the cathode and the anode is an equal distance of about 2W6mm and the electrolyte is flowed between electrodes at a high speed of about 2W7m/sec. As an electrode material, for example, Ti-Pt alloy is most prefereable and, as the object to be plated, low carbon steel, high carbon steel, Mo steel or the like are preferred.
