Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to race over a long period of time by closing totally an outlet gate valve on a blowoff pipe, and after that, by opening a supply and exhaust valve while by opening a blowdown valve of a exhaust pipe of a casing to drain water in the casing. CONSTITUTION:An inlet valve 22 and a guide vane 6 are totally closed, and pressure water in a casing 10 is cutoff. Then an air supply valve 20 is opened, and water within a runner room is pushed down in the lower direction of a draft pipe 11 till the runner 3 is exposed in air through an air supply pipe 19. And an outlet valve 12 is closed totally after confirming that a water level reaches a prescribed value. Then, a drain valve 16 is opened, and water within the casing 10 is drained off into a drain bit provided in a power plant through a drain pipe 15 and a drain main 18. Further, the guide vane 6 is opened again, and with a drain valve 17 opened, water within the draft pipe 11 is fed guided through the drain valve 17 to the drain pipe 18.
