CONSTITUTION:The pressure-welded parts of metallic plates 1, 2 of thick plates are prepared to have edges of which the slopes end at 1/2 the plate thickness and the angles assumed by both slopes are 90-120 deg.. The pressure welded parts 3 of 1/2 the plate thickness are brought closer to each other and are pressure- welded by high frequency welding. The overhung beads are machined and are leveled off, thence a groove part 4 is subjected to submerged arc welding.
