Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate connection of electrodes of a zinc-halogen battery by fixing current collecting metal plates and electrodes made of graphite with bolts. CONSTITUTION:In a zinc-halogen battery, e.g., zinc-chlorine or zinc-bromine battery, a number of zinc electrodes made of a zinc active material filled on the surface of fine graphite plates and halogen electrodes made of porous graphite plates are arranged in turn and face to face, and an electrolyte is fed in circulation to make the battery operational. A current collecting metal plate 2 of a corrosion resistant metal such as titanium is fastened and fixed with bolts 3 on one end of the electrode, e.g., a zinc electrode 1 made of fine graphite in a plate shape.
