Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of an electrolyte plate caused by its deformation and to increase cell performance without installing current collecting plates by arranging electrodes on both sides of an electrolyte plate and arranging electrolyte reinforcements between the electrolyte plate and each electrode. CONSTITUTION:Electrolyte reinforcements 7 are arranged between an electrolyte plate 2 and an electrode 1-1 and between the electrolyte plate 2 and an electrode 1-2, and each separator 4 is stacked on the outside of each of electrodes 1-1 and 1-2. No current collecting plates are arranged between the electrode 1-1 and the separator 4 and between the electrode 1-2 and the separator 4. Since the separators 4 are not in contact with the electrodes 1-1 and 1-2, increase in electrode resistance caused by the oxidation scale of the current collecting plate is eliminated and effective surface area for power generation in each of the electrodes 1-1 and 1-2 is increased. Breakage of the electrolyte plate is prevented and cell performance is increased.
