Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent short-circuit between electrodes and obtain a uniform current distribution by providing electrolyte feed holes in electrode mounting saddles of a zinc-halogen battery. CONSTITUTION:Electrode mounting saddles 3 are projected on an inner bottom wall 2 of a battery jar 1 made of an electrolyte resistant material, and a number of zinc electrodes and chlorine electrodes 5 are mounted in turn on the saddles 3 being arranged face to face at a certain interval. A number of electrolyte feed holes 6 are bored through said saddles 3 at a uniform interval. The feed holes 6 are connected to electrolyte feed paths 7 provided in the bottom wall of the battery jar 1, and are also connected to fine holes 8 provided at the bottom of chlorine electrodes 5.
