Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a composite photoreceptor for two colors which is easy to produce and does not cause ground stains, etc., by laminating Se-Te-As as the 1st photoconductive layer and CGL, CTL consisting of azo type pigments as the 2nd photoconductive layer on said photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A composite photoreceptor 1' is constituted of the 1st photoconductive layer 12, (an intermediate electric current control layer 13), and the 2nd photoconductive layer 14 on a conductive substrate 11, and the layer 14 is constituted of laminated layers of an electric charge carrier generating layer (CGL)141 and an electric charge carrier transport layer (CTL)142. The layer 12 is a vapor deposition layer of 20-50mum film thicknesses consisting of an Se-Te-As alloy contg. 1-4wt% As. The content of Te is 4-12wt%. Since the 1st photoconductive layer of the above-mentioned composition is used, the drying temp. up to 70-100 deg.C in the stage of forming the 2nd photoconductive layer by coating is made possible. The CGL141 consists essentially of an azo type pigment. An electron donative org. material is used for the CTL142.
