Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of the operating device for an AC motor by utilizing the output of multiplexed inverter which drives the motor controlled for its continuous rotation when the motor operated at a low speed via nonmultiplexed inverter at a normal time is accelerated. CONSTITUTION:Electromagnetic contactors 5, 6 are closed at normal time. A motor 3 is controlled at its rotating speed via a multiplexed variable voltage and variable frequency power source (multiplexed VVVF)1, and a motor 4 is operated at a standby position at a low speed so as not to wear the bearing via nonmultiplexed VVVF2. When the output of the motor 3 becomes approximately allowable value and it becomes necessary to use the output of the motor 4, the motor 3 is accelerated, a contactor 7 is then closed to switch to a line power source. Then, the contactor 6 is opened, and a contactor 8 is closed. The motor 4 is connected to the multiplexed VVVF1 and is accelerated. Then, a contactor 9 is closed and is connected to the line power source.
