Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce load on a compressor motor and permit continual operation by permitting the compressor capacity controllable according to the result of detection by detecting means for detecting voltage variations when the source voltage becomes lower than a rated voltage.
CONSTITUTION: When the voltage of a power source 20 becomes lower than around 90% of the rated voltage, the output of a detecting circuit 40 becomes a logic "1" signal to energize a relay 50. As a result, a switch 50b is opened to de-energize an electromagnetic coil 81, thus closing an injection valve 8. In this way, the injection of a gas medium is interrupted to reduce the capacity of a compressor 1. Thus, when the compressor torque is reduced with the reduction of the source voltage, the capacity of the compressor 1 is reduced to alleviate the compressor load, thus permitting continual operation without breakdown.
