Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the exact control of current even during high-speed operation by changing slip frequency when current command for controlling the current of induction motor is changed.
CONSTITUTION: When starting power running, the slip frequency SP is risen up at a definite time constant by closing the contacts P and ON, and when stopping command for power running is sent out, the slip frequency command SP is trailed down at a definite time constant by opening the contact ON and also by closing the contact OFF. Furthermore, when switching the power regeneration, the contact P is opened and the contact B is closed to inverse the polarity of output terminal and when starting regeneration, the contact ON is closed to trail SP. And, when stopping regeneration command, the contact ON is opened and the contact OFF is closed to rise up SP to zero level. Thus, even when inverter is operated at high frequency, the current of induction motor can be exactly controlled and also driving or braking force can be smoothly controlled over the full speed range of induction motor.
