Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the rush current to an induction load by gradually raising an output voltage by controlling the ON operating phase of an AC switch after a throw instruction for closing the switch is produced. CONSTITUTION:A gate pulse is fed to a thyristor 121 at a point a upon production of the ON command of an AC switch 12. The contact B of a changeover switch 303 is closed under the conditions that the output voltage of the switch 12 is zero and the switch 12 is first thrown. When the ON command is fed in this state, the ON command is inputted through the contact B to an integrating circuit 304. The output from the circuit 304 is fed to a gate pulse generator 305, which in turn produces a gate pulse controlled in phase at the time b. Thus, it can prevent the rush current to an induction load such as a transformer or the like.
