Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to always maintain ink at an appropriate temperature on printing and also to bring the ink temperature to the appropriate temperature quickly at the time of reproduction of ribbon, by heating the ink at the time of travelling of an ink-holding body and controlling the heating operation in relation to travelling of the ink-holding body.
CONSTITUTION: For instance, a printing ribbon 4, which has a film of ink 5 on one side, is stretched on pulleys 6aW6d in tension. At that time, the ribbon 4 is put through into a reproducing device 16 and made to contact a heating blade 18 of a heating station 17. After dissolving the ink, it is made to contact a blade 19 of a scraper, and by adjusting the pressure of the ink contacting the ribbon 4, flatness and thickness of the ink layer are controlled. And then, the ribbon 4 is cooled off by a fan 28.
