Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the detection of quenching by automatically balancing a bridge circuit having a superconductive coil and a resistor with a servo mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A resistor 8 is connected in parallel with a superconductive coil 7 to form a bridge circuit 1. The output from the bridge circuit 1 is applied to a deviation amplifier 2. The output of the amplifier 2 is applied to a servo amplifier 10 through a switching circuit 3. A servo motor 9 is driven by the output of the amplifier 10, thereby regulating a variable resistor 8. After the output of the circuit 3 is rectified, it is applied to a detecting circuit 5 to detect the normal conductive transition of the superconductive coil. The switch S1 of the circuit 3 is shifted to a contact (a) side at this time. Then, a balance can be obtained continuously. When the switch is shifted to a contact (b) side, the balance can be obtained only when the switch S2 is pressed.
