Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a breakdown of the memory element forming the main memory device, by limiting the backup time given by a battery during the service interruption to a certain value. CONSTITUTION:The main memory device 2 is connected to the DC stabilized power source 7, and the source 7 is connected to the battery 8 via the constant closed type switch 13 that is controlled by the resistance 12 and an external signal. On the other hand, the service interruption detector circuit 10 is connected to the input power source 9 to detect the state of interruption, and the time counting circuit 11 is connected to the output part of the circuit 10 to transmit the control signal to the switch 13 in a certain time after receiving the detection output. Thus the circuit 11 receives the detection signal to start during the service interruption. Then the circuit 11 transmits the control signal to be switch 13 after a certain time to switch the switch 13 to an open state. Thus a connection is cut off between the device 2 and the battery 8.
