Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce power loss by eddy current flowing at stalled operation, a stall detection circuit is used which detects the stall on the basis of an error signal obtained by comparing detected voltage with the reference value.
CONSTITUTION: In this stall detection circuit 32, the reference voltage signal and detected voltage signal enter the amplifier 35 through the resistances 33, 34 respectively. An error signal between both signals enters the amplifier 39 through the resistance 37. The amplifier 39, together with the Zener diode 42 in parallel, constitutes a switching circuit and allows the transistor 43 to become conductive when the output from the amplifier 35 exceeds the reference error value. This excites the coil of the relay 44, the contact circuit of which acts to generate a stall detection signal to thereby control an a.c. motor.
