PURPOSE:To obtain a superior watch which has both analog and digital advantages combined skillfully, by arranging an electrooptical display body between a hand part and a cover glass over the entire surface of or at a part of the cover range of an analog display surface. CONSTITUTION:A multiple-display electronic watch has an analog display part and a digital display part. The analog display part consists of hands 2 and an analog display dial 4. The digital display part uses a liquid-crystal panel 3. When twist type nematic liquid crystal is used, an upper polarizing plate 3a and a lower polarizing plate 3d are arranged at a 90 deg. angle of polarization direction. Then when a voltage is applied between electrodes, parts except the electrodes are twisted by 90 deg. by a liquid-crystal layer and reflected to the dial, so that digital display and analog display look as if the digital display were floating on the analog display. Thus, a watch having analog and digital advantages combined skillfully is obtained.
