PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling effect of a rotor for a motor by inserting heated superplastic metallic material into an axial hole formed at the center of a rotor shaft, extruding the material in the hole as a mold, and forming a heat pipe, thereby reducing the contacting thermal resistance to improve the thermal conduction. CONSTITUTION:Superplastic metal material 6 heated at 120 deg.C-270 deg.C is inserted into an axial hole 2 formed at the center of a rotational shaft 1. With the hole 2 used as a mold, a push rod 7 is press-inserted into the hole to extrude the material 6, thereby forming a heat pipe 3 intimately contacted within the hole 2. As the superplastic metal material may include Zn-10-40%Al alloy. In this manner, the contact thermal resistance between the heat pipe 3 and the shaft 1 can be reduced to improve the cooling effect.
