Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily manufacture the excellently cohesive parts wrapped in the cast metal applying a low pressure, by previously forming the coating layer of a specified metal on the surface of the copper pipe, when the copper pipe is to be wrapped in the cast aluminum by the die casting method. CONSTITUTION:At manufacturing the heat exchanger, etc., the copper pipe 2 is wrapped in the cast aluminum 1 so as to form a one body. In this case, the coating layer 3 of zinc, zine-alloy, tin-alloy, etc., is previously plated on the surface of the copper pipe 2. This plated copper pipe 2 is wrapped in the molten aluminum 1 being cast under a comparatively low casting pressure of 100-200kg/cm<2> by the die casting method. Since the casting pressure is low, the copper pipe 2 never causes deformation due to the pressure; besides, a part of the plated layer 3 is molten into the molten aluminum and forms an alloy; hereby, the copper pipe 2 strongly coheres with the wrapping metal, aluminum. On the other hand, the thermal conductivity of the boundary between the copper pipe 2 and the wrapping metal 3 shows no deterioration.
