Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent generation of oxidized scales and improve working efficiency by glass coating the surface of metallic material after coating with nickel or nickel alloy. CONSTITUTION:Since a nickel or nickel alloy coating layer and a glass coating layer are formed on the surface of the material, contact between the material and air is cut off during heating, no scale is generated byoxidation of the material. As mutual diffusion between the nickel or nickel alloy and the material is effected smoothly at the time of hot forging, a metallic coating layer excellent in adherence can be obtained. Further, as the glass is in a molten state, it is high in lubrication and impact force at the time of forging is transmitted effectively and high working efficiency can be obtained.
