Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent short circuit with the article to be worked during working process and improve the working efficiency by installing a noninducting guide means in the top edge outer diameter part, in the hollow pipe electrode for working a deep hole by means of the electrochemical effect such as electric discharge, electrolysis etc. CONSTITUTION:The pads 2 as guide means are installed in the top edge outer diameter part of a hollow pipe electrode 1. The pads 2 are arranged, for example at four places at equal intervals on the circumference, and each pad 2 forms an arcuate form, and the thickness t is set nearly equal to the electrolytic gap for discharging the electrolytic liquid and worked sludge from a worked article. As the pads 2 are interposed between the inner diameter of a hole and the top edge outer diameter part of the hollow pipe electrode 1 during boring work, the pads 2 guide the electrode 1 along the inner diameter of the hole, and vibration at the top edge can be suppressed, and at the same time, the top edge part contacts with the inner wall of the hole of the worked article, and generation of short circuit failure is prevented.
