Abstract
PURPOSE:To correctly remove only a burr portion, when a machining electrode is used to perform burr removing process through the method of electrolytic machining, by exposing only a part of said electrode facing a burr and coating the other part with an insulator. CONSTITUTION:Protrusive objects 1, 2 of similar figure to the shape of metal grooves in a connecting rod, work 5, are provided in an electrode main unit 3. The work 5 is insulated from the electrode main unit 3 by an insulating spacer 12 and insulator 4 and mounted to the electrode main unit 3, then the protrusive parts 1, 2 face the metal grooves. Electrolyte flows through gaps 8, 9 in the before described insulator 4 and is smoothly discharged from liquid discharge ports 10, 11, then an electric current can be concentrated to a burr portion in the metal groove part with no room for a floating current to flow, accordingly only the burr portion can be removed without electrolytically processing a ground surface.
