Abstract
PURPOSE: To save the fuel cost required for remelting by carrying out and transporting an ingot in the state of as high temp. as possible after casting.
CONSTITUTION: Molten metal is put in an ingot case, and the high temp. ingots just before or after the solidification are withdrawn from the ingot case, are put in a heat insulation housing and is carried out and transported. The four circumferential walls of the heat insulation housing are coated with a heat insulating material and if a device that can heat the inside is incorporated therein, the ingot can be maintained at much higher temps. The heat insulation housing is placed on a truck and is thereby transported. The inside of said housing is partitioned to small chambers to prevent the temp. drop in accordance with partially divided uses. It is arbitrary to constitute the heat insulation housing to the size of accommodating from one to a number of pieces of ingots or to the size of accommodating large quantities of ingots at one time.
