PURPOSE:To prevent the jump-up of the DC output of a chopper circuit by stopping the chopper circuit and an output constant-voltage controlling system and slowly increasing the output voltage of the chopper circuit after a fixed time passes when a switching element is opened. CONSTITUTION:The operation of the chopper circuit 2 is stopped by the working of a timer circuit 21 for a fixed time at the same time as the switching element 8 of a breaker is opened, and an error amplifier 15 is controlled and the input signals of a voltage control circuit 16 are brought to approximately zero. Consequently, the jump of the DC output voltage of the chopper circuit 2 is inhibited when the timer circuit 21 counts for a fixed time and the chopper circuit 2 starts operation again, the output of the error amplifier 15 is softly started by means of a soft starting circuit. Accordingly, the inverter circuit can stably be operated without stopping the inverter device by accidents due to the jump of the AC output voltage of the inverter circuit 5.
