Abstract
PURPOSE:To readily perform the stable and continuous operation, by making the soft start of a voltage-control system when the power is restored, by decreasing the level of current limitation below a specified level, and by making the automatic restarting possible so that the excessive current which is generated during the transient period is limited. CONSTITUTION:A power-failure detection signal from a power-failure detector 17 is to be applied to a soft start circuit 20 and a current limiter 8'. When the power failure detection signal is sent out, the stop command is transmitted to a gate-signal control circuit 12 from a start-stop circuit 18, a three-phase inverter 4 is stopped, and an AC motor 5 is rotated without loads. When the power supply is restored, the operating command is given to the three-phase inverter 4 from the gate signal control circuit 20, and the soft start circuit 20 is connected at the same time. If the AC motor is connected under the power running conditions, the current limiter 8' generates a signal for a command amplifier 6 so as to decrease the inverter output frequency. When the stable operating conditions are obtained, the limitation of the current limiter 8' is restored to the specified level.
