Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled resin composition having improved compatibility of the components, and capable of giving a cured resin having excellent flexibility, impact strength and adhesivity, by adding a specific despersing agent to a mixture of a polyfunctional epoxy compound and a liquid rubber.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A mixture composed of (i) 100pts.wt. of a polyfunctional epoxy compound, pref. the one liquid at normal temperature and having an epoxy equivalent of 100W1,000 and (ii) 5W200pts. of a liquid rubber, e.g. a liquid diene rubber containing epoxy groups, esp. an epoxy-terminated liquid diene rubber having a 1,4-bond content of ≥50%, is added with (B) an alkylsalicylic acid polyvalent metal salt of formula (R1 is alkyl; R2 is alkyl or H; M is metal) and/or fumed silica, etc. having particle diameter of 5W100mμ and a BET surface area of 30W300, as a dispersing agent. The dispersing agent is dispersed uniformly in the resin component by vigorous agitation. The amount of the dispersing agent is 0.02W4wt% of the liquid composition. When the dispersing agent is an alkylsalicylic acid polyvalent metal salt, the agitation is pref. carried out under heating at 40W70°C.
