Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress, with sure operation, a no load voltage state of an electric precipitator, by discriminating the generation of the no load state with a detected value of the electric current passing through the electric feeding circuit to the electric precipitator and the output-voltage of a high-voltage rectifier.
CONSTITUTION: A signal of DC output-voltage of a high-voltage rectifier 5, detected with a output-voltage detector 7, is inputted to a comparison-amplification circuit 14; and a signal, corresponding to the current passing through a feeding line detected with a electric current detector 13, is inputted to the circuit 14. In the circuit 14, estimated values of discrimination current and discrimination voltage are specified in advance; a limitting signal is sent, comparing these discrimination values with said detected signals respectively and only when said detected currents are kept lower than discrimination current and said detected voltage becomes higher than said discrimination voltage, to a phase-controlling circuit 9. This circuit 9 limits immediately the phase-control signal, to be impressed upon a thyristor-controlling part 3, to the small value specified in advance.
