Abstract

PURPOSE: To restrain effectively a fluctuating voltage on the trolley wire by increasing feeding points to the trolley wire and feeding power under such a control of a power source as compensates the fluctuating voltage of the feeding points.
CONSTITUTION: The current flowing into a motor car 3 existing near a feeding point P2 through a feeding wire 13 is detected by a current detector 15. The output of the detector 15 is inputted into an ignition controller 8. As the resistance value of the trolley wire 1 between the feeding points P1 interposing a direct current circuit breaker 4 and the feeding point P2 is known, the voltage at the feeding point P2 can be calculated within the ignition controller 8 based on the value detected by the detector 15. The ignition controller 8 calculates a fluctuating voltage based on the voltage at the feeding point P2 and also controls a thyristor rectifier 6 to provide an output which minimize the fluctuating voltage.
