Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect currents accurately by means of a simple circuit by a method wherein a current transformer for detecting currents formed by connecting a resistor and a capacitor to secondary winding is inserted and connected between a surge absorber and a thyristor DC converting circuit. CONSTITUTION:Currents are fed to a thyristor DC converting circuit 5, to which load 7 is connected, from an AC terminal 1. A shock absorber formed by a resistor 3 and a capacitor 4 is connected between the terminal 1 and the circuit 5, and the primary winding of a current transformer 21 of a detector for currents is inserted and connected between the shock absorber and the circuit 5. A load resistor 25 and a series circuit of a resistor 26 and a capacitor 27 are connected to the secondary winding 24 of the current transformer 21. An effect by means of the shock absorber is removed because pulse-shaped currents generated from the capacitor 4 in the case when load currents Id are zero are absorbed by means of the series circuit of the resistor 26 and the capacitor 27.
