Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the adhesion of a sintered body to a pipe, by sintering on a prescribed condition an alloy green compact containing Sn Ni, P, C, Cu and Fe in a prescribed ratio on the inner surface of a stainless or carbon steel pipe.
CONSTITUTION: Alloy powder containing 4W10wt% Sn, 10W40wt% Ni, 0.5W 4wt% P, 3W10wt% C, and a remainder of Cu or and, in addition, 50% or less Fe is molded under pressure into a cylindrical form. Subsequently, the molded green compact is inserted into the inner surface of a pipe to be sintered in a non-oxidizing atmosphere at 800W950°C for 20W60min. Thus, the green compact expands during sintering to be bonded with and untied with the inner surface of pipe.
