Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a powdery infiltration material for intensifying mechanical strength of ferrous sintered parts by contg. Fe, Mn, Si, B or further Zn in Cu at specific rations.
CONSTITUTION: Alloy powder consisting essentially of Cu, and contg. 2W7% Fe, 1W7% Mn, 0.1W2% Si, 0.01W0.5% B or further <5% Zn is used as an impregnating material for improving mechanical strength by infiltration into the holes of ferrous and iron-based alloy sintered materials. In this case, ≥80% powdery Cu-Fe- Mn alloy contg. 2W8.8% Fe and 1W8.8% Mn is used as a raw material and Cu-Si alloy contg. 2W30% Si or Fe-Si powder contg. 40W80% Si is used as an Si source, and an alloy of one or ≥2 kinds of Fe, Cr, Ni, Co, Cu contg. 2W25% B is used as a B source and further a Cu alloy contg. 10W45% Zn as a Zn source is used, respectively in powders.
