Abstract
PURPOSE: The captioned powder for iron (alloy) powder and iron-base mixed powder molding having superior infiltration rate which is composed of respectively the specific amounts of Fe, Mn, Zn, Al and Si and the rest Cu, etc.
CONSTITUTION: Fe; 2W7%, Mn; 1W7%, Zn; 0.5W5%, Al; 0.03W0.1% and Si; 0.1W2% and the rest Cu, etc. are used to compose the powder for infiltration material for iron (alloy) powder and iron-base mixed powder molding. Particularly in the addition range of Si; 0.3W0.7%, the rate of infiltration hardly decreases and the residues after the infiltration do not adhere to the infiltered material at all. This product provides the rate of infiltration of 85% or more even with any iron-bases base material composition, puts the residues of the infiltration material in a peeled state and makes erosion and pitting corrosion obsolete.
